Stagehand is what we call a reverse platformer. While it looks a lot like your classic 1980s/90s arcade jumper, and it requires the same reflexes and precision, this is not a game where you control your characters, leading them left and right through jumps and dashes. In fact, you don't control the character at all: you control the stage itself.
Move the platforms up and down to collect coins and keep from running into walls, avoid spikes, get around immovable blocks, and do your best to stay out of bottomless pits and lakes of lava. Along the way, don't forget to pick up some coins—they get added to the distance you've run to make up your final score.
Stagehand is the third game from Big Bucket, the team behind the modern classics The Incident and Space Age. It once again features an unbelievably catchy soundtrack by Panic, Inc.'s Cabel Sasser. We wanted to make something fast, fun, and effortlessly challenging—a game that's made for touch screens, quick replay, and competing for the high score.
Stagehand will be available for iPhone and iPad. The minimum system requirement is a device running iOS 8.
